and Erma Jenkins (Both Deceased). He is also preceded in death by four of
his siblings, Alton, Roger, Janice and Theresa, and his son Dwayne Jenkins
and grandson Jason Jenkins.
Curtis was educated in The Cleveland Public School System, graduating
from East Technical High School and worked briefly at the United States
Post Office before his employment with Wallace and Associates Company
and finally working at the Juvenile Court as a cook preparing meals from
scratch, his great love for cooking, showing off at the family reunions and
other events with his pies and other foods.
He accepted Christ and was Baptized at Shiloh Baptist Church. He joined
the Mason’s in his later life, becoming a Prince 33rd Degree Mason.
Curtis also served in the National Guard of Ohio in the Columbus area as
a prison guard.
Curtis leaves to cherish his memory two sons, Curtis Hewston (Carolyn) and
Keith Jenkins; one daughter Aretha Taylor (Danny) host of grandchildren,
step daughters Renee Holden and Roslynn (Nate) Jones. One brother
Ernest (Janet) Jenkins, and a host of nieces, nephews, grands, great grands,
cousins and friends who will remember his smile, his kindness and his love.
