Pleas Crawford Sr. and Roberta Crawford. She had 4 sisters who preceded
her in death; Victoria Jones, Mary Fort, Ora Lee Jackson, Leanna Parham
and also two brothers; Richard Crawford I and Pleas Crawford Jr.
Annie was always available to take care of all her nieces and nephews
whenever she was needed. She had a large garden where she grew
vegetables, especially collard greens every year. She also had peach trees
that had delicious peaches that everyone loved. She shared with family,
neighbors and friends everything from her garden. She also loved to watch
westerns on TV and read the Bible. She also liked to talk with family and
friends about the Bible. She also loved to share stories about her years
growing up in Tuskegee, Alabama. They always had a big garden and farm
animals and went to church every Sunday. She confessed Christ at an early
age in Tuskegee, Alabama.
She was the oldest member of her church, Sardis Baptist Church, Cleveland,
Ohio where she was a member for over 70 years. She attended Tuskghee
Institute in Tuskgee, Alabama. She graduated from John Hay High School
in Cleveland, Ohio. She worked at Fairhill Psychiatric Hospital in the
1950's. She also worked at Marianne's Clothing Store in the 1960's. Both
jobs were in Cleveland, Ohio.
Annie was loved by her Entire Family and the Community. She was always
available for that heart to heart talk that only an Auntie can give. She
would always listen and then lovingly talk to you.
Annie went to live with her niece, Diana Turner over 15 years ago where
she was taken care of loved and nurtured by Diana and her husband, Jerry
Turner. Annie's nephews Bennie L. Parham, Ernest Jackson, Sister-In-
Law, June Jackson and great nephew Marcell Jackson were always available
to assist Diana in any way possible. Annie passed away on April 18, 2020
after a brief stay at Wickliffe Country Place in Wickliffe, Ohio where she
was undergoing rehab from hip surgery. She leaves to mourn a host of
nieces, nephews cousins and friends.
