My heartfelt condolences for the recent loss of Tracye. I feel so bad that I didn't know sooner. I met Tracy when I was a senior in high school and he was friends with my friend Bruce riefman and that's how I knew him. He was always such a very kind and considerate person who was also incredibly smart! He will be truly missed by family and friends! Again I'm so very sorry for all of your loss!

I was stunned hearing of Tracy's passing. We were both friends with Ned Siegler and part of Ned's wedding party. Tracy and I took time to appreciate each other but his sly wit won me over. I  wish I'd known of his passing earlier but 800 miles away in different cities, news can be slow.  I hope he is sitting with friends in the afterlife cracking jokes and sipping a stout.

I would always say Hi to Tracy when I see him walking to his class every morning!  I miss seeing him every morning!

I was so sad and shocked to hear of Tracy's passing.  I was in Gary Engle's American literature class at Cleveland State many years ago, and Tracy was too, but recently after getting a job at Tri-C's writing center I met him there, and visited him in his office and talked about old times.  I was hoping to have many more conversations with him.

Professor Greene was an amazing teacher. His Monday-Wednesday English 1010 class miss him greatly. We are sorry for your loss.

It has been a gift to know Tracy as a colleague on the Tri-C faculty for the past 20+ years. He was such a warm person. A conversation with Tracy always made the day better. He was so smart, quick witted and funny, and thoughtful too. You could talk with him about anything. He always made it fun and interesting, taught you something new, made you think, or just made you feel better about the world and yourself.  His life was a blessing for me and so many others.

My condolences to the family. I was a current student in his English 1020 class.  Although my time as a student of his was very brief, I enjoyed him as one of my very first college professors. He was a great teacher that was always enthusiastic and energetic.

It is always so difficult to say goodby to a treasured colleague, so I won't.  I will say, until we meet again Tracy Greene.  It was such a pleasure to see your smiling face whenever we rounded a corner and saw each other in the hallway at Tri-C west.  You would say, "Hey there Jeanie Hall" (first and last name always stated), to which I would reply, "Hey there Tracy Greene."  Your friendship meant so very much to me and to so many others.  May you now enjoy your life on the other side.

Your kindness, wit, and words of wisdom helped me and many through difficult times in our life and career path. As the lasting words from your beautiful service today  stated so well... My sincere condolences to Tracy’s family! He was a lovely person, kind and generous, a true mensch. I started as his student in ESL when he taught new immigrants at the Cleveland Heights High school. He was a phenomenal teacher, colorful, funny, and a joy to learn from. He was generous with his time while introducing cool and interesting places around Cleveland. My first visit to the Cleveland Art Museum was with him, when he brought our entire ESL class there. The Barking Spider was another unique place he was so happy to share with us. 

It was amazing to join Tri-C and discover that Tracy was my colleague! We often chatted about life and work, laughing, and reminiscing about old times. I always had a deep admiration for him and his teaching. He was a mentor and a friend.  Loved by so many!

I will always value my years of friendship with Tre.  He will be missed.

Rest in peace Tracy.  Your spirit will be sorely missed.  My condolences to his family.

I will always hold a great affection in my heart for Tracy. He had a gift for lively banter and had an infectious laugh to go along with it. I looked up to him as a mentor during my early years at Tri-C and I have always deeply appreciated his willingness to be a sounding board for me whenever I had Tri-C-related questions or issues. The halls of Tri-C will, for me, never be the same without him. Godspeed, Tracy, Godspeed.

I will miss his good will and his great ( and cleverly sly) sense of humor. Talking with him in the West campus hallways always brightened  my day.

Tracy and I would always have a special wave as he passed by my office every day, several times a day for the 11 years. We had many heartfelt, inciteful conversations and laughs. He will truly be missed here at Tri-C by myself and everyone that his smile reached.  My thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, students, and colleagues.

From the start of my teaching days at Tri-C twelve year ago, Tracy was a helpful colleague and friend.  During my first days at Tri-C, he helped me resolve issues with my classroom computer.  He was always pleasant to talk to and never failed to greet me when we passed in the hall.  When I saw him last Wednesday, I was in need of help getting my belongings down the stairs due to recent knee surgery.  Tracy gladly carried my heavy computer bag down the stairwell for me.  That was the last time I saw him, being helpful to me yet again.  Tracy, you will be missed!  Rest in peace my friend.

I knew Tracy for over 20 years as his colleague in the English department. I have fond memories of leisurely chats in my office, the fact that he always had a smile on his face, and his eccentric sense of humor. I am shocked and saddened at his sudden passing, but I'm grateful that I had a chance to know him.

I am so sorry to hear the passing of Tracy.   His spirt and his soul captivated everyone he met and he filled the room with love and laughter.  It has been my honor to have known Tracy as a friend and colleague at Tri-C.  We spent many, many years passing one another in the hall and stopping to have meaningful and enjoyable discussions on politics, philosophy and life. I had occasion to work with Tracy on CADRE where we able to get to know & respect each other.  He was a thoughtful & kind soul who was always interested in what was best for the students, his colleagues & the academy.  He will be missed.

Tracy was a lovely soul who brought much joy and enrichment to many people's lives, including mine. Over the years he became a dear friend. A couple times a month he'd stop by my office, or I'd stop by his, and we'd have long philosophical conversations and witty banter, which always left me with inspiration and with more questions than answers. He will be remembered and missed.

When Tracy first came to the Western Campus of Tri-C, I had to work on an issue with his PC.  We talked about many things that day including acting in local theater.

Tracy thought with his eyes, as you would be talking he would be breaking down his subsequent response with genuine concern for whatever was being discussed.

I didn't get a chance to see him as of late being located at JSTC as I am, but I enjoyed it when I would run into him in the hallways of the Western Campus.

Tracy and I would always pass each other in the hallways of West campus, several times a day, and laugh because it was like deja vu every time.  He will truly be missed here at Tri-C.  My thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and colleagues.

Tracy was always a great one to encounter in the halls as a brief hello went into a great conversation. Such a warm and pleasant individual whose presence at West will be missed, always a smile, always pleasant, I’ll miss seeing him as those visits could change a day

I worked with Tracy at Tri-C.  His office was in the corner, right  near the Business suite.  Tracy was a very kind man and he always had nice things to say.  He was always smiling.

He was a good man who will be dearly missed at Tri-C.

Tracy was always a kind spirit and had the best sense of humor in the most challenging of situations. I got to work with him on many committees at the college and he always added an element of thoughtfulness to the process.

Tracy was a dear friend and colleague and we will miss him so much. He was incredibly insightful, a superb listener, and he cared greatly about people. Dear family of Tracy,

As a lantzman of Tracy's who also commuted from Cleveland Hts to Parma for the last 22 years, and as a fellow Jewish professor, I wish you to know that Tracy always had the most endearing quality  when I would come upon him in our hallways. Tracy genuinely loved people. He loved catching up with what was going on in our lives and he regularly had the most wonderful smile during our talks. Tracy was a people person through and through for all the best reasons. You should be so proud of him. 

I was out sick last Wednesday, and as a result, had to cancel class. Therefore I unfortunately cannot cancel it again this week to attend Tracy's funeral. I am terribly sorry to not be there to say kaddish. We will miss him very much.  May his memory be a blessing.

I am so terribly sorry to hear about Tracy.  I have been a colleague of Tracy's for his entire career at Tri-C.  I also grew up in University Heights, but I did not get to know Tracy until I worked for the College.  He was such a great colleague and we will miss him dearly.  We are thinking of you at this time.  Please accept my sincerest sympathies.
