Steven and I were childhood friends. I went to a very old historic school. I was surrounded by history and a family that believed in God and forgiveness. One day Steven would join our school. I remember him singing sweetly my name across the room. How wonderful it was to have a friend like Steven. His laughter was contagious. Whenever i had a problem I could turn to Steven he was my library partner and my friend. 

Steven was a childhood friend we played together and enjoyed all the wonderful things in the world. Steven was Jewish I was catholic but my parents said god choose us to be friends. We’d chase each other on the playground and we study in the library. Steven was always a gentleman I could be somewhat of a brat. But he always had laughter and forgiveness. Our principal was kind but strict he had had a little girl who had passed he said there were no bad children just children who braved badly and he had a black book he carried around he said I never want to see your name in my black book but sometimes it just happened like the time I got caught running in the hall. Steven one day would save many lives with his nationwide campaign life comes at you fast. His dream was to be a star that and world peace. On the day he passed Britain named a star after Steven. Steven I’m so glad you were my friend love means never having to say your sorry but sometimes it’s necessary.  Steven now in the dark night there’s a new star in heaven a new hope. I knew god had great things in mind when he created you. I wonder what he was thinking when he created me. Our god is an awesome god. I wonder what he was thinking when he created the tree. I’m just so glad he gave me you as a friend for me. 

When Steven passed away the royal family was just having their wedding. My significant other is English and I spoke with them about Steven. As a gift they named a star after Steven Schreibman Bloom. Jan 6 the forgiveness star. A once in a million chance of a lifetime for love to show compassion and sent to me a gift of love called you a one in a million you. My friend is an officer he was working a very stormy night. I looked up I know Stevens light his laughter shines down. He always wanted to be a star and dreamed of world peace. Steven may all your dreams come true. I love and miss you. Love means never having to say your sorry sometimes it is necessary. 

Words cannot express my sadness over the passing of my dear friend.  I remember great fun with Steve at Beau in Canton, OH, and so many other times when we laughed so hard our sides hurt.  Steve's wonderful spirit will live on in my heart and memories.  I am sending heartfelt condolences to the entire family.

I fondly remember the first time I met Steven (prior to his actual hire date at Nationwide). His infectious laugh, warm & welcoming manner and ability to HEAR you were evident from that day forward.  He was always supportive and encouraging. His humor and creativity were well known and so very appreciated. Who will ever forget Fabio's visit? Really, that was a true Steven moment.

To Steven's family, my deepest condolences. He was liked, loved and admired by many, many people. He will be sorely missed.

May God's loving kindness and comfort help you and your family during this time of sorrow (2 Corinthians 1:3,4).

Steven was highly intelligent. In freshman year along with my sister who also works for nationwide translated from Greek to Latin to Hebrew to English so we might understand each other better. We studied Greek mythology and the the gods of side mideas venus and Thor. It was fun and interesting. And very educational. He was in theater we acted out Many plays.  Sharing our worlds. He helped my children. In his honor because he’s always been a Star I’ve sent a star up to heaven from nasa where I used to take school groups.  England  sent the gift from the star register. You’ll be able to look and find the star with Stevens name. A light in the darkness. He shown brightly. I had one photo of Steven and I laughing this is a painting of a sillotte of a child playing that I painted. There is a second. 

I just saw Steven on April 27th. He came to my birthday party at a local pub. I’m so sorry for your loss. He was the kindest man I’ve ever known. He genuinely cared a bout everyone.  Even if you just met him, he treated you like he knew you for years. I met him 15 years ago.  I’m hosting a get together on June 2 at the same pub. He touched so many lives. We’re going to get together and share all our memories of him. Laugh and cry. I’ve started taking donations for Milestones Autism Research Center in Stevens memory. Everything collected from now until June 2 will be donated in is memory. I still can’t believe he’s gone. My heart goes out to all his family. He was truly loved....by many. Take care of each other. ❤️

I've known Steven over 15 years and he was always a pleasure to see.  Such a smart, funny and kind man.  My love goes out to him, his family and friends.  He was a good man!

I think I am one of many who had a brief but intense series of encounters with this extraordinary human who went by the name of Steven Schriebman.  Our paths crossed about 10 years ago for a few months,  shared stories about life and love and loves and work, personal struggles and ultimate victories, the things small and large that make up our experiential selves.  Always wanted to know him better, but am glad that I had the opportunity that I was given.

I am unable to make the trek to Cleveland today, but will be making a contribution in  memory to Cat Welfare.  I'm attaching some words that I hope family and friends will appreciate:  words I first heard at my grandma Nana's memorial many years ago.  

I was so sorry to read about Steven's passing. My condolences to the family.  May all your fond memories shared over the years bring warmth and comfort to your heart . May you have inner peace and strength to cope in the days ahead. Jeremiah 29:11,12

Steven was very talented and funny. He was even more rare and special in two ways: he really took the time to listen, share advice and be supportive. And he was truly kind and open-minded in a way few people are. So sorry about his passing, glad to have known him. 

I GOT THE JOB AS THE SPOKESPERSON FOR NATIONWIDE INSURANCE WHEN STEVEN WORKED THERE. I REMEMBER ONE OF THE FIRST THINGS HE EVER SAID TO ME WAS, "WE'RE GOING TO BE SENDING EACH OTHER HOLIDAY CARDS FOR THE REST OF OUR LIVES NOW." I'M SAD THAT THAT TRADITION WILL END NOW. 

STEVEN WAS SUCH A GEM OF A HUMAN BEING. HE ALWAYS WENT OUT OF HIS WAY TO MAKE SURE I WAS OK AND THAT I KNEW WHAT WAS REALLY GOING ON WITH MY JOB AT NATIONWIDE. WHEN THE CAMPAIGN ENDED (AND HE HAD LEFT THE COMPANY), HE REACHED OUT TO ME AND SAID, "LET'S TALK." HE PROCEEDED TO ANSWER ALL MY QUESTIONS. I LOVED HIM FOR THAT. 

A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO, I WAS IN DENVER FOR A CONFERENCE AND WE HAD DINNER TOGETHER ONE NIGHT. AS ALWAYS, HE WAS LAUGHING (LOUD) AND LOVING LIFE. HE WAS SUCH A FUN, JOYOUS SOUL. WE TOOK A PHOTO TOGETHER, MAKING RIDICULOUS FACES TO THE CAMERA. THAT'S HOW I WILL REMEMBER HIM: SILLY, FUN, JOYFUL, KIND.

I am grateful to have known Steven.  He had the most memorable laugh, and was such a fun, creative, kind soul.  You could always count on him to provide a boost to your self esteem.  He would always tell you you were the "cutest", "the most adorable", or "fabulous"!   He was taken from us far too soon and will be greatly missed. RIP.  Love, Lori

Steven was a brilliant marketing executive, a published author, a supportive colleague and a dear friend.  We worked together at Nationwide a long time ago but kept in touch through the years. Remember that Super Bowl commercial in which Kevin Federline (Brittany Spears' ex) goes from a famous rap artist to flipping burgers in a fast food restaurant? That was only one of Steven's wildly successful, hilarious and viral masterpieces. He was The Best. He was also ahead of his time, pushing the envelope toward greater diversity and acceptance. Kind, funny and endearing, Steven was the type of friend who was always there for your when you needed him. I'll truly miss him. 

I had the pleasure of working with Steven at The Finish Line--talking with him was often the bright spot of my day and the same was true for others.  His sharp wit and kindness will be missed by many, I am certain. My heart goes out to his family and friends.


God knows he took a wonderful soul with Steve.  He touched everyone around him.   We went to high school together and found a connection on facebook.  I will be praying for him and his family.

My condolences to all of Steve's family and friends. People like Steve are few and far between.

Steve was a special friend from High School. We talked about things that others did not understand. His constant smile, positive attitude and deep concern for others were contagious. I will miss him dearly.

Steven was my boss, mentor and friend. He was very open, taught me a lot, was passionate for the creative process, always kind, and his sense of humor kept things from becoming too dull or too serious. A co-worker (Rebecca) and I had dinner with Steven last Fall after he moved back to Columbus. We picked up right where we left-off, just laughing and joking. I will truly miss him and always remember his laughter.

Steven was such a kind soul.  I had the pleasure of meeting him in 2011. He adopted his sweet kitty Pancake aka Punkin from my rescue.  

I felt very blessed to have such a kind person adopt this sweet Persian boy. And over the years he always kept us updated on his sweet Pancake.  Please know if any help is needed with Teddy and Pancake I can be contacted.

I went to high school with Steve. I had the fortunate experience of being seated next to him in large group English class. He made me laugh on a daily basis. Years later, we connected through text where he remembered being kicked out of class. At the time, he was laughing at something I said and the teacher caught him. He was the one who got yelled at even though I was the guilty one. He never complained that I was not included in the punishment. He just got up and took the heat. He had a great gift of making you feel like you were the most special person in the world. All who knew him will miss him. Sending prayers for the family and close friends to feel peace in knowing that heaven is embracing dear Steve.

Steve and I met the first week of our freshman year at I.U.  Somewhat loss transplants - I from Virginia, he from Ohio – we immediately went to task finding all things hysterical in our poor Hoosier brethren. As if prophesied, Steve and I fashioned what was to become a lifelong friendship.  I write this now at a total loss attempting to comprehend why this wonderful spirit was taken away from each of us so early in life.  I am utterly devastated.  My sincere condolences to Steve’s family and loved ones – especially his young nieces and nephews – whom he spoke of often to me with total adoration.  Rest in peace my dear friend.

Please don't be offended by this slightly naughty memory; it is one that still makes me smile nearly 30 years later. Steve and I were colleagues at PM and almost neighbors when he considered buying an apartment in my building. He was at my home for a small gathering one evening. My Yorkie took a shine to him and just would not stop humping Steve's leg every chance she got. It was embarrassing for all of us, but Steve laughed as six lbs of terrier latched on and would not let go. That dog knew a good thing when she saw it... Steve was one of the true mensches  of the world! May his memory be for a blessing.

So sorry to hear about Steven passing.  I enjoyed our catching up on Facebook.  I always think of him with a smile, remembering him singing in the garage.  Michelle, Ron, Marty, your Mom, the rest of his family and friends are in my prayers to surround all of you with his wonderful memories and joy he brought.  

Steve was a student of mine at GlenOak High School in Canton Ohio in the late 1970s, a member of my choir and an outstanding performer in our high school  musicals. In the short time I got to work with him, I could see his potential. Many, many years later we reconnected via a choir alumni Facebook group. I learned we share political and community interests and we frequently talked about current events. I have saved many photos of Steve from over the years. In them, he is never alone. He is always near the center of the photo surrounded by happy people. I think it was one of his gifts. Of all those who knew Steve over the years, count me as a big fan.

I am stunned to learn of this loss-steve was a shining light in all that we did at LOreal-I worked along side this brilliant man on Studio Line -I always learned and I always laughed. He was a wonderful mentor and amazing friend in the years after we left L'Oreal. And an example of when technology is wonderful -I treasured our once in awhile texts and catch ups-he is one of the most beautiful souls i have met and I am blessed to be amongst the lucky people who knew him. Even if just for a bit in life --I just adored him. My heart goes out to all of you -his light may be dimmed on this earth but NO ONE could dim his light in your hearts . My prayers are with you. 

Such heartbreaking news. Steven was one of my favorite co-workers at Benton & Bowles in New York. I was thrilled to find him on Facebook and re-establish contact. Steven was a treasure and will live in our memories forever.

He had a wonderful sense of humor. I bought the book 📚 he had published. He was a great friend. 

Steven was a light to so many and I am privileged to be one of those people ... his compassion, humor, intellect and kindness I will never forget ... truly one of the most unforgettable people that I've ever had the pleasure of knowing and loving ... my heart is heavy with my grief and I know that pales in comparison to that of his loving family ...
