A graduate of John Adams High School, Flora Stone Mather College, and Kent State University, she was a dedicated learning disabilities teacher and lifelong volunteer.
She was kind, compassionate, and always willing to give of herself to help others. Rowena volunteered at Menorah Park, Myers, Judson, Playhouse Square, Severance, Meals on Wheels, and other organizations.
She was active in a number of organizations, such as B’nai B’rith and the Jewish War Veterans, and found great joy in camping with her special social group, the Hobos.
Rowena’s warmth, optimism, and wisdom touched everyone she met. She had a remarkable way of uplifting others and left a legacy of unconditional love, gratitude, and selflessness. She will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know and love her.
