I am so sorry to hear of Bob's passing.  He was a great mentor and much admired colleague. His knowledge and policy viewpoints touched many. He will be missed.

I was shocked and saddened to learn of Bob's passing. I knew him in the early '60's in Cambridge and have been grateful for that friendship ever since. What a rich life he had, and how wonderful that it touched so many!

Bob was a true scholar and a gentleman, a son who made his father, Rabi Binstock of Chicago, and his mother, to whom he was so loyal in her later years, very proud. And his voice was always joyful when he would glance over at the picture of wife Martha and daughter Jennie on his desk. I personally learned a lot from him, especially when it came to writing clearly. A great guy who will be missed.
