May and ira Cohen cherish our memories with Norman. Sharing prayers with full sincerity.

Remembering Norm as a high school classmate whose intellect was so obviously substantial and as a young man who never wavered in his convictions is something that I could only say about a few of our Shaker High '70 group - and I am not among them. Norm seemed to see horizons to which most of us were oblivious, and he had the guts to pursue them. My heart goes out to his entire family, who I can only hope take some comfort in knowing how fondly and distinctly their beloved Norm is remembered by us.

Rest in Peace Dear Friend...

Norman, intersecting with you around things Harvard and China has been a great honor for me. I'll always remember our meals at the St. Regis in Beijing, sharing a love of (duty-free) whisky and an abiding interest in the journeys and history of the Jews in China. Your email and call updates on your latest ventures, or on the latest political capers were never-ending sources of inspiration.  You are missed, my friend.

Norman was  a great friend.  He was generous, and he had a big heart.  Zichrono L’vracha.  May his memory be for a blessing. 

Norm lived at the corner of our street, Strandhill and Lomond.  My family lived 3 houses down on Strandhill.  I have known him practically my whole life.  He was a force of honesty and integrity.  Very bright and a deep thinker.  He will be missed.

Dear Norm ... Your emails and calls were hilarious.  It was always a pleasure to talk with you.   You were special to us.
When our 10 pound bichon was attacked by a coyote last November, you sent us 2 of those loud horns to scare away nasty predators.  
When anyone had a sale, you quickly notified us.
You had a warm and generous heart. Without you, there will be a void in our lives.  We will miss you terribly.  We hope you are safe in heaven.


My sincere condolences and deepest sympathies to all family and friends of Norm at this difficult time. I am so saddened to lose such a good friend. My family and I are full of many wonderful memories of Norman, who was always so incredibly kind to us. These memories will stay with us forever. Norm will truly be missed.
