I have known Leonard since we both went to high school at Heights before he moved to Shaker. We went to OSU together, shared an apartment, double dated with he and Barbara and would get together whenever my wife and I would come to Cleveland. He was truly the funniest person I have known. He could have friends rolling on the floor in laughter. He maintained his sense of humor in spite of difficulties. We will miss him deeply.

Living out in So. California, I still get the Cleveland Jewish News.  I was shocked when I read Leonard had passed away.  My parents, Howard and Fran Copley, were good friends with Ruth and Chuck…..and it was like family being with them.  I am so sorry for the loss of your Father and brother.   May the wonderful memories you shared with Leonard bring you some comfort…….and May his memory be a blessing.    Sending my deepest condolences.

My heart is with you and your families.   My fondest memories of Leonard are from our IRS days as his assistant when he would tease and harass me endlessly.  I tried to keep up with his witty banter but failed miserably.   You will be forever in our hearts 💕   Takaren Tokarch

Leonard and I never worked together, but he was an inspiration for me.  He faced the trials of life with determination and a laugh.  His wife died at an early age and his stroke did not make life easy.  I have many fond memories of lunches and even movies we shared.  I do miss Lenard Lurie.

Nancy and David,  I am so sad at the passing of your dad.  I will always have fond memories of his sense of humor .   I lost a friend as did so many that were a part of his life.   My deepest sympathy to both of you and the entire Lurie family.  Cherish the memories.
