Oh my goodness, today is Feb. 27, 2023, and I have just learned of Jeanne's passing, and I just watched her funeral service with tears in my eyes.  What a beautiful, wonderful woman.  I am Dick Miller's cousin by his marriage to Maxine, first cousin to my Mom Frances.  Maxine's Mom and my Mom's Mom, my Grandma, were sisters.  Dick was part of our family not only for the 35 years he was married to Maxine until her death, but also during the time he lovingly got to spend with Jeanne until his death.  Our family loved Dick as if he'd been with us since birth, and after meeting Jeanne (he brought her to Akron the day of Mom's husband's funeral) we were much more than fans of hers, she instantly became family.  If I had known she died I would have moved heaven and earth to be there in person.  However, after she married Ted, and he must be wonderful, because he agreed to bring her to see our new condo (we had moved after being in our home for 47 years, there was a snowstorm and they couldn't drive to Akron that day.   But he was willing to bring her, to her former partner's family!  Now that's love.
We thoroughly enjoyed many lunches out with Jeanne and Dick, and time also spent at her beautiful apartment after he could no longer go out.  We saw how lovingly she took care of him, even feeding him.  I did not know he died in her arms, but I'm sure glad he did.  
After the aborted trip shortly after her marriage to Ted, I decided I should not intrude on her new life, but made the decision to let her go and be happy, thinking this was best for her.  Not best for my husband and me and our family by a long shot.   If I had it to do over I may have just continued to barge in, as we sure have missed her these last few years.   My own Mom made it to 99, and she loved Dick and Jeanne too.  What long, beautiful lives they lived, I hope they are all now together partying - an Eternal party - what a beautiful thought  - all skates, dancing, bikes, lunch and laughter in heaven!  

I only learned of her death just now.
Jeanne gave me great emotional support and kindly guidance when I was a very young woman having a hard time. Although I did not truly understand the meaning her most generous gift at the time, I was able to thank her some years later--and I am grateful. My sincerest condolences to Mim and James and their families.

I have the most wonderful memories of Jeanne and Lenore Bletcher, "The "Treble Makers", who I accompanied at their performances for many years. Even though I left Cleveland a long time ago, I called Jeanne on her birthday every year, including 2022.  Jeanne was beautiful, inside and outside, with a gorgeous soprano voice.
