Edith M. (Miller) Paller, age 80, of Beachwood, OH and Delray Beach, FL passed away on February 12, 2012, after a period of declining health due to congestive heart failure. Edith (Edie) married her beloved high school sweetheart Aaron R. Paller sixty-one years ago and together they reared three children who will miss her greatly: Dr. Mark Paller (Margie) of Minneapolis, MN, Cherie Paller (Tom Girard) of Eagle, CO and Laurel Paller-Rzepka (Dr. Andrew Rzepka) of Minneapolis, MN. In addition to her children, Edie’s pride and joy were her grandchildren: Dan Paller (Michiko Shirai), Jeff Paller (Kathleen Klaus), Jenn Girard, Alicia Paller-Rzepka and Jason Paller-Rzepka. Edie is preceded in death by her mother Helen (Polster) Palmer.
A homemaker, executive secretary, occupational therapy technician, ORT chapter president and condominium play producer, Edie was always active. She was happiest when baking, playing maj, knitting caps for kids with cancer, or tap dancing. She had the guts to try new things, learning to ice skate and play tennis at age 50 and to use a computer at age 78. Edie bravely fought heart disease to the very end.
The funeral will be at Berkowitz-Kumin-Bookatz Memorial Chapel, 1985 S. Taylor Road, Cleveland Heights, on Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at 2 pm.
