Cynthia Greenberg

GREENBERG Cynthia Greenberg (nee Matz) loving wife for 61 years to David B. Greenberg. Devoted mother to William (Anna) Greenberg, Mindy (Greg Jones) Becker and Michael (Boel) Greenberg. Cherished grandmother of Julie and Adam Becker, Freya, Emily and Bison Greenberg. Cynthia passed away peacefully after a long illness, surrounded by her family. Adored daughter of the late Eve and Julius Matz. Cynthia was born in Cleveland on July 15,1934, and grew up on the corner of Stillman and Cedar Rd. in Cleveland Heights. She graduated from Cleveland Heights High School and attended Stevens College. For the past 59 years, Cynthia and David made their home in Shaker Heights. Her passion was her children and her grandchildren. She was an early, generous and longtime champion of the Gathering Place, a recipient of the Pillar of Hope, and was an Honorary Lifetime Board Member. She was friend and counselor to many. Her loving and wise presence, and her unique sense of humor will be missed. Private family graveside services will be held at the Mayfield Cemetery. Family will receive friends THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 10, 1 PM-3 PM AT THE GATHERING PLACE 23300 COMMERCE PARK DR. BEACHWOOD, OHIO . BEGINNING THURDAY EVENING 7 PM-9 PM AND FRIDAY 1 PM-4 PM, THE FAMILY WILL RECEIVE AT THE RESIDENCE 23739 Shelburne Rd. Shaker Heights, OH.
