Betty Fishman, age 102, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on November 16th 2024. She was the wife of the late Michael Fishman and the late Moishe Weisner. Devoted mother of Cheryl (Mark) Groner and Mark (Amy) Fishman. Loving grandmother of Julie (Alex) Beynenson, Michael (Lindsey) Groner, and Jonathan Fishman. Great grandmother of Madeline and Callie Beynenson and Robert and Avery Groner. She was predeceased in death by her brother Isaac Davis and sisters Frida Nadler, and Sarah Iskowitz and Helen Roth.
Betty survived Auschwitz and Stutthof along with her younger sister Helen. She was one of 12 children, all but 4 were taken by the Shoah.
She was an amazing balabusta. Her cooking and baking skills were legendary. Betty had a great sense of humor, even until her final days. Her warm personality made everyone feel like they were her favorite.

Betty will be remembered and deeply missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Services will be held Monday, November 18 at 11 AM at the Berkowitz- Kumin-Bookatz Memorial Chapel 1985 S. Taylor Rd. Cleveland Heights, Ohio 44118

Shiva immediately following at the home of Cheryl and Mark Groner, 27500 Cedar Road, Beachwood, Ohio 44122. IN THE COMMUNITY ROOM UNTIL 4PM. MONDAY EVENING 7PM-9PM IN THE RESIDENCE APARTMENT OF THE GRONER FAMILY, FOLLOWED BY TUESDAY 2PM-4PM & 7PM-9PM AND WEDNESDAY 2PM-4PM & 7PM-9PM.
