Alice was the beloved daughter of the late Selma and Samuel Kammer; dear sister of Marcia and the late Bud Kammer; devoted mother of Mary and Michael Courtney; loving grandmother of Skyler Lynne and Ryan Jacob Courtney; cherished "Aunt Dallas" of Steven and Leslie Kammer, Rick and Laurie Gross Kammer and Marla and David Klein; dearly loved great-aunt of seven.
Alice’s career spanned four decades, both in Cleveland, Ohio and Miami, Florida, where she'd moved in 1973 to keep an eye on her parents. She was a specialist in mortgage banking and was proud of her skills at making the numbers work for her clients.
Alice stayed with the same employer in Miami until retirement amidst multiple corporate shuffles. Upon retirement, her interests included her grandchildren and volunteer work in jewish charities and organizations supporting higher education.
Alice loved the Florida sunshine, although it was toxic to her. She felt a sunny breeze Monday morning.
The family will host a celebration of Alice’s life on SUNDAY, MAY 26 FROM 1-6 PM AND MONDAY, MAY 27 FROM 7-9 PM at the Courtney residence, 3156 Kersdale Rd., Pepper Pike, OH 44124. Please leave remembrances for us to share on the website.
