Winston-Salem, NC – Wade Griffin, 68, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 2, 2025. He was born on April 24, 1956 in Forsyth County to the late Wade McLain Griffin Sr. and Ruby & Phillip Maxey.
He is survived by his wife Pat Griffin, his son Charlie Griffin, daughter-in-law, Jessica Griffin, grandchildren: Harper, Marcus & Madelyn, his sisters: Carol Hartline & Angie Renigar (Eric), and his brother Dallas Wayne Murphy.
Sonnie was a retired Truck Driver from Republic Waste. He loved to fish, Football (Green Bay Packers), Basketball (Carolina Tar Heels) and he was a Master Griller.
Sonnie was the heart of every gathering, bringing energy and enthusiasm to every interaction. His presence left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered, creating an atmosphere of warmth and connection. Sonnie was a man of few words, but he meant what he said.
There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.
