Tyler Ray Hodges passed away on June 1, 2020 in Winston-Salem. Tyler will be remembered for his passion for life, unwavering work ethic, unbreakable loyalty, and tremendously loving heart. He was born on January 3, 1997 in Winston-Salem to Christopher Ray and Carey Everhart Hodges. Tyler graduated from Parkland High School in 2015. He then joined the family business and went to work for his dad at Innovative Retail Environments where he manufactured fixtures. Tyler loved Cali, the beach, and skateboarding; but his biggest passion was cars. You could find him in his free time riding motorcycles with friends, racing, or drifting.
Tyler leaves behind his parents; brothers, Trevor Aaron Hodges and Christopher “Trey” Hodges; paternal grandmother, Rebecca Childress Hodges; maternal grandparents, Ronald “Ronnie” Ray and Martha Gibson Everhart; aunt, Tiffany Dawn Everhart; girlfriend, Maggie Smith, and his soon to be child. Tyler also leaves cousins, many loved ones, and countless friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, John Wayne Hodges, Sr. and uncle, John Wayne Hodges, Jr.
A graveside service will be held Monday, June 8th at 11am at Westlawn Gardens of Memory.
