Stephen Fredrick Pierson

He was born in Philadelphia, PA. Steve was a World War II Veteran, serving in the US Army from July 1941 to December 1942. He then served in the US Airforce until January 1946. He was serving at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii on December 7, 1941.

Steve had a long and successful career with E.I. du Pont de Nemours & Co. Upon retirement, he returned to his passion for tennis and played competitively into his 80’s

Steve is survived by a son, Stephen L. Pierson and wife, Ludo of Las Tablas, Panama; a daughter, Pam Moran and husband, Joe of Marietta, GA and five grandchildren, Laura Williams, Sarah Moran, Emily Moran, Melissa Odorisio, and Stephen R. Pierson. He is preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Jane S. Pierson.

A Memorial Service will be held at Shallowford Presbyterian Church on Saturday, February 27 at 2pm. Frank Vogler & Sons Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shallowford Presbyterian Church.
