Mr. Belcher worked for AT&T in Winston-Salem for 25 years and also led an active social life. He was a member of the Pioneer Club, President of the AT&T Computer Club, President of the Winston-Salem MS-DOS User Group, and a member of the Society of Technical Communication.
He will long be remembered for his sharp intellect, generosity, and his great sense of humor.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Belcher was preceded in death by a brother, Stuart Belcher.
Those left to cherish his memories include his loving wife, Bessie Belcher; daughters, Frances Bruebaker of Advance and Barbara Lockee and husband Bob of Blacksburg, VA; grandchildren, Shannon, Sarah, and Sam Bruebaker of Advance and Chase Lockee of Blacksburg, VA; and two great grandchildren.
A funeral service to celebrate his life will be held at Clemmons Presbyterian Church on Monday, April 19, 2010, 2:00 p.m., with the Rev. William Hoyle and the Rev. Jay Banasiak officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 18, 2010, 6:00-8:00 p.m., at Vogler and Sons Clemmons Chapel.
Burial will be at Westlawn Gardens of Memory in Clemmons following the funeral service.
