Pauline Frances Sedlacek, 86, passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, May 6, 2024. She was born on November 13, 1937, to George Vincent Collins and Teresa Cindrich Collins in Kansas City, Kansas. Pauline was the second oldest of four children.
Prior to moving to King, NC, to be closer to her children and grandchildren, Pauline lived in Clemmons, NC, with her beloved husband, James (Jim) Gerald Sedlacek. Pauline was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was an animal lover and a passionate Kansas City Chiefs fan. She had an avid sweet tooth which she passed down to her grandchildren. Pauline loved any chance to talk about current events and popular culture, and she particularly loved discussing movies.
Pauline is preceded in death by her parents, George and Teresa Collins; her husband, James (Jim) Sedlacek; her son, Steven Joseph Sedlacek; and her grandson Matthew Fullard. She’s survived by her son Jeffrey Michael Sedlacek, his wife Julie Sedlacek, and their children Jeffrey Sedlacek, Emily Kate Sedlacek, and Samuel Sedlacek; her son John Matthew Sedlacek, his wife Tracey Sedlacek, and their son David Sedlacek. She’s also survived by her grandson James Fullard; brother David Collins and family; and brother Michael Collins and family.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Pauline’s angels and caretakers, Rebecca, Marisol, Becky, Windy, and Tina, as well as to everyone who visited Pauline in her final days.
