Paul Howard Swaim, Jr., 74, of Pfafftown went home to be with the Lord April 13, 2017. He was born February 21, 1943 in Surry County to the late Paul Howard Swaim, Sr. and Ethel Hoots Swaim. Paul was known by most as “Granddaddy”. He worked for Piedmont Airlines and US Airways. He served as a deacon and his faith was an intregal part of his life at First Pentecostal Holiness Church. Paul was also a Boy Scout Leader for Troop 946 in The Old Hickory Council, where he made many trips to Raven’s Knob. He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 55 years, Kathy; their two children, Jeff and his wife, Ladale, Gina and her husband, David; his grandchildren, Megan, Kristen and Kyle; and his brother, Ronnie Swaim and his wife, Brenda. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday at Frank Vogler and Sons Reynolda Chapel with Rev. Tim Wolfe officiating. Burial will follow in Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior the service.
