Mary Jane Woodward, 71 of Clemmons NC and originally from Bristol VA died at her home on August 15 after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Bonnie Chapman and sister, Margaret Woodrum. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Mike of the home, son, Scott Woodward of Wyoming, Dana Gianforte (Jim) also of Clemmons NC and two grandchildren, Mason Gianforte and Kaylee Gianforte (Hunter) along with with two brothers, Ronald Chapman (Sharon) of Abingdon VA and Carl Chapman (Debbie) also of Abingdon VA as well several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 19 at 3 PM at Forest Hills Memory Gardens in Abingdon VA, with Reverend Paul Ketron officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice or to the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
