Mrs. Mary Magdalene Dudley Hansley,86, of Winston Salem, completed her life’s journey and went to be with her Lord, Sunday, August 10, 2014.
Mary was born August 15, 1927 to the late Calvin and Viola Dudley. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred J. Hansley, Sr., two daughters, Linda Gail Russ, Marion Kay Hyatt, and son, Fred J. Hansley, Jr
.
A lifelong resident of Winston Salem, She was employed with Hanes Hosiery in her early life, before devoting her life to care for her family. Mary was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church. She was a Sunday School teacher for Loyals Worker Class.
She is survived by her three daughters, Ann Bowman of Kernersville, Barbara Quick and husband, Gene of Walkertown, and Peggy Hansley of Winston-Salem; son in law Buddy Russ of Winston-Salem; nine grandchildren, twenty three great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren; three sisters, Dora Turner, Creola Hall, Dixie Coffey, and one brother, Jerry Dudley all of Winston-Salem.
A funeral service will be held 1 PM Wednesday, August 13th, in the Chapel of Frank Vogler and Sons Funeral Home, Reynolda Chapel, with Pastor David Harmon officiating. Burial will follow at Crestview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Wednesday, one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
