John "Jack" Joseph Wheeler

John “Jack” Joseph Wheeler of Winston Salem, NC left us to meet his maker Friday, May 18,2018. He was preceded in death by his parents John & Mary Wheeler and his brother Patrick Wheeler. Jack leaves behind his wife; Rita VanDuser Wheeler, sons; Michael, Daniel & Brian Wheeler of NYC, step son; Craig Fishel(Susan) and their 4 children; Eden, Cecily, David, Peyton Fishel and very close friends Randy West of Clemmons, Mark Foster of Rotonda West and Andy Lampart of NY. Jack grew up in Brooklyn, NY moved to Staten Island NY, Rotonda West, FL and finally settled in Winston Salem,NC. He retired from AT&T in 1996. He was a very proud Marine and coached football at Poly Prep in NYC. Jack was a long time member of the Elks. His great love was sports, especially the NY Giants & NY Yankees. Per his request, there will be no funeral at this time. The family will have a memorial service at the Rotonda Elks at a later date. Frank Vogler & Sons Funeral Home in Clemmons is assisting the Wheeler Family.
