Jill Turner

She was born December 21, 1960, to Glenn and Pat Turner, and spent part of her childhood in Draper, NC, now known as Eden. Jill graduated from West Forsyth High School.

After graduation, Jill was accepted into Watts School of Nursing in Durham, NC and graduated in 1982 with her RN diploma. Jill worked for North Carolina Baptist Hospital until 2000. Jill was an excellent nurse and had a wonderful sense of humor. She loved people well and was very generous with her time and resources.

Jill is preceded in death by her parents G. Glenn Turner and Patsy Thomas Turner.

She leaves behind her dearest friend and partner, Vanessa Elliott; brother George Turner (Cindy) of Fuquay-Varina, NC; brother, Mark Turner of Statesville, NC; and sister, Emily Turner Eggleston (Drake) of Bahama, NC. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, Brandon Turner, Andi Ackley (Sean), Adam Eggleston, Matthew Eggleston, Michael Eggleston (Ashley), Aaron Turner (Amanda), and Rebekah Turner, three grandnephews, and a grandniece. She loved them as though they were her own children.

Jill’s wishes were to not have any service or memorial. If friends would like to donate in Jill’s memory, a donation to any cat rescue would honor her great love of cats.
