Mrs. Edith Rominger Walker passed away at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home on November 20, 2017 after a brief illness. She was born January 22, 1929 to Jasper Monroe and Maude Covington Rominger. She was married to Andrew Walker for 59 years. Mrs. Walker worked at both Hanes Hosiery and R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Company. She was preceded in death by her husband, an infant son, Michael and a sister, Iris. Surviving are her daughters, Beverly Smith and Janice Walker (Madolyn), both of Winston-Salem. A private graveside service was held November 21, 2017 at Forsyth Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff at Kate B. Reynolds for their kindness and caring, and in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Ln, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
