I will always have fond memories of Dwayne and his music, especially his singing and harmonies.  Wishing peace and comfort to all his family and friends.

Keith and Brenda my condolences to you and your families in the loss of your brother. I always considered Dwayne to be my best childhood friend. Though tremendously saddened by his death I can't  help but smile when I think of him and all the fun we had as kids in the neighborhood. From playing all the seasonal sports to riding bikes to playing hundreds of ping pong matches I will cherish those memories forever.  Dwayne had a way of making everything fun and putting joy into people's hearts. Though our paths as adults rarely crossed he always put a smile on my face when we did happen upon one another.  Dwayne was so kind and humane and he will be missed greatly. God has added a great member to his team! I only wish I had one last opportunity to play ping with him before he left us.

Dwayne was a fraternity brother of mine at WCU. To all of us he was known as Chicken Hawk.   I remember once when he was nominated for some position in the fraternity and went up stairs while the brothers discussed his nomination and voted ( he won). Every single brother that said something talked about how respectful and kind he was. While this was going on he opened the door, looked down at me and smiled ear to ear as he shot me a bird. When I quickly related to the other brothers what he had just done during his discussion the entire brotherhood exploded with laughter. It was all in good fun and brotherhood, great guy and great brother. Kappa Phi 378.

I worked with Dwayne at Krispy Kreme.  He was always kind and willing to listen...a true gentleman.   

I worked with Dwayne many years at Krispy Kreme.  He was kind, humble, and giving.  Dwayne had a love of guitars & bluegrass music and I remember him attending Merlefest on several of occasions.  Dwayne was also a sports fan and apparently an athlete back in the day.  I remember him pitching on the Krispy Kreme softball team.

We met about 5 years ago at church and he will be missed by many. Dwayne was an inspiration to us all. We are so fortunate to have shared dinner with Dwayne just 3 weeks ago. May you rest in peace and say hi to our son Billy in heaven.

I was blessed beyond measure by a visit from Dwayne and Steve Figel after a tumor surgery. I was unable to walk and they came one Sunday morning and serenaded me. How fortunate I was to have Dwayne as a friend.

Dwayne was a humble and VERY SMART man.  He hired me at Krispy Kreme and really knew how to make things happen.  He was an inspiration to many and a mover and shaker for anything you asked of him.  Godspeed Dwayne - you will be missed!

I knew Dwayne for to short a time (only about the past 5 years).  I I met him at church where we both loved the music.  Later we would commiserate about our arthritic knees.   He was a very humble guy, and a great friend.  

This news saddens my heart to hear about Dwayne. We worked together at Krispy Kreme until he departed with Krispy Kreme.   He was always there for me when I needed help or would know who might could help me if he was not able to.  We lost a great man and a great person. You will be missed. RIP my friend.

I enjoyed working with Dwayne at Krispy Kreme and remember hearing him playing guitar in his office at lunch, but fondest memory is playing softball with him on the KK team, our pitcher!  RIP, gone way too soon.  My condolences.

RIP, my dear friend.  Dwayne was a joy to work with. Each evening when we left work, he would say "time to go to the "hoose" (house)". He will be missed.

Dwayne was a pledge brother of mine Theta Xi at Western Carolina University. He was someone I really liked and enjoyed his cool vibe. Labeled the Chicken Hawk, he excelled in all the intramural " A  Team" sports. He had the best hands in football that I ever saw. If it was near him, he had it. Smooth basketball player. I remember him and another brother dribbling up court flipping behind the back passes as they cruised up court smiling .
I remember he was a REO fan.  He was a dedicated brother and friend.  Forever with a cool vibe, mischevious smile and good nature. I am very sad for the families loss. We miss you brother Dwayne Miller KP 345!
