Mr. Daniel "Danny" Lee Bost

Winston-Salem- Daniel “Danny” Lee Bost, 62, of Winston-Salem died September 23, 2010 at Forsyth Medical Center. Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 26, at 2 PM at Frank Vogler & Sons Funeral Home, Reynolda Road Chapel with Pastor Don McGee officiating. Interment will follow in Gardens of Memory in Walkertown.

Danny was born in Newton, NC to Earl and Frances Sherril Bost. He has been employed as a maintenance supervisor for several years with the cemetery industry and was a US Army veteran. Danny was a loving husband, father and grandfather and truly enjoyed spending time with his family, especially when he was trying to win a video game or putt-putt golf with the grandkids and taking family vacations in Pigeon Forge. He had a wonderful sense of humor and never failed to leave a person laughing and smiling. Danny loved nature, enjoying his garden and yard full of flowers.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years Jean Knott Bost of the home; daughters and their spouses, Dawn and Robert Fields of Lewisville, Christy and Bryan Cason of Lewisville and Andrea and Travis McGee of Rural Hall; mother, Frances Sherril Bost of Newton; brother Michael and wife Diane Bost of Hickory; sister, Brenda and husband Bob Saunders of Newton; grandchildren, Kelli Fields, Austin Fields, Kobie Cason, Jeremy Pettitt and Randall McGee; brothers-in-law and their wives, Keith and Karen Knott and James and Sharon Knott; and nephew, Justin Knott. He was preceded in death by his father Earl Eli Bost and his brother Earl Eli Bost, Jr.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-9 PM Saturday, September 25.
