We are thinking of you during this difficult time.  C.L and Helen have been good neighbors to us!  We will miss seeing him out there taking care of his lawn and coming over to the fence to pet our dog who never ceased barking at him!  C.L. was always so sweet and loving to our 2 little girls.  We are so sorry for your loss.

Uncle C.L. never let me forget that I was loved and told me to never forget that whatever I was going through, no matter how dark it might seem, that I was not alone. That I would always be loved and he would be there for me any time. The knowledge of that carried me for so many years. I know I am a better person by having a part of who he was in my life.

You taught me to fish, you taught me to shoot, you showed me what it was like to be a good man, and I will forever love and miss you Pepop. I'm sorry you never got to meet your great grand children from me. Look down on them every once in a while and peek in. I love you.

In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it's the memories of you that are the most precious.

There was no one that I knew that exemplified what it was to be a good, solid, caring individual more than C.L. Truly a life and person worth celebrating. God bless his family. He will be truly missed but never forgotten.

I met CL a few years ago when I moved into the same neighborhood as him.  We began to swap stories and talk about his hunting trips and days in the Navy.  I loved listening to all his stories and will greatly miss our conversations. 

I thought of CL as my grandfather and I will greatly miss him. What a great man!!

I am very sorry to hear of the passing of my friend, C.L. Morrison, a man who was everything a good man should be. Over the last 20 years he as been a great source of encouragement to me in my Masonic life and a great friend to all Masons with whom he associated. A lesser man and a less compassionate family could easily have declined the offer of their kind offices to me, but not so here, and for that I am truly grateful. If there is anything that either the Clinchport Lodge #267 or I can do for the family, do not hesitate to ask.
