William F Bergen

William (Bill) Bergen, 80, passed away on 5/28/2023. He was born in Jersey City on March 26, 1943. He was married on 5/30/1964 to Arlene (Boyle) Bergen. He led a career in banking and insurance working for Chase Manhattan Bank and Met Life. He is preceded in death by his wife Arlene Bergen, and Parents William M. Bergen and Eleanor Bergen. He is survived by his son Timothy Bergen and his wife, Erica Bergen. Bill, a Vietnam Vet, was an active member of the Avenel, NJ VFW, and the Clark American Legion before moving to Clearwater, Florida. Bill had a quick wit and an infectious sense of humor, often successfully convincing others into pulling off his practical jokes. He was a loving and caring husband, father, and friend who enjoyed nothing more than seeing what joy he could bring into the lives of everyone around him.
