Wesley Corvey went to be with our Lord on February 10, 2024
at the age of 79. Wesley was born in St. Louis, Missouri in 1944. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon and Nadine Corvey and brothers, Gerald and Rixey Corvey, He is survived by his wife, Sharon of 56 years; son, Robert Corvey (Stacy McMillen) of Alameda, California; son, Joseph Corvey and his wife, Shannon Corvey of Dunedin, Florida. He has one precious granddaughter, Blaine Emmeline Corvey. He is also survived by his brothers- and sisters- in law, Clark and Trudy Triplett, Florissant, Missouri; John and Sandy Koehler, Clearwater, Florida and Steve and Joyce Triplett of McKinney, Texas. He was loved by all of his nieces and nephews as well.
Wesley received two Bachelor degrees, B.S. in Industrial Technology from Truman University and a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. Most of Wesley’s working years were related to computer technology employed by General Electric and Martin Marietta Corporations. He even owned his own computer business. After retiring, he worked part time for Office Depot for 15 years. Wesley served in the US Army spending a year in combat in Viet Nam.
His love for his wife, sons, family, country and his God were without exception. He loved going to and watching movies, playing golf, reading Sherlock Holmes books, eating popcorn and ice cream, drinking Dr. Pepper, watching the Miami Dolphins and listening to jazz music. Spending time with his sons was his greatest love—“Pals Forever!”
Funeral preparations are conducted by Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home, Clearwater, Florida. There will be a Celebration of Life service at Countryside Baptist Church, 2525 McMullen Booth Road, Clearwater, Florida 33761on Saturday, March 2 at 11:00 am.
Memorial gifts can be made in Wesley’s memory to Wounded Warriors and the American Heart Association.
