Dale was born in Philippi, West Virginia to Dorsey Dale Robinson and Kenova “Kay” Cline (Williams) on January 8, 1944. Around the age of 10, his family moved to Columbus, Ohio where the majority of his life was spent. He was the oldest of 5 children. Siblings are Betty Kay Robinson (Coleman), James “Jimmy” Franklin Swecker (deceased), Allen Dale Robinson (deceased), and Julie Robinson.
While stationed at Ft. Gordon, GA, he met his now ex-wife Debbie Rose Hall (Burt) who survives him. Dale is also survived by his daughters Samantha Kaye Robinson (Monosky) and Dora Rose Robinson (Robson) as well as his grandchildren Jordan Joseph Monosky, Lenah Kaye Monosky, and Grayson Lee Robson. He is also survived by his ex-wife Emma Robinson.
He was an avid lover of automobiles, music, reading, and watching western movies. Dale lived in the same home from 1978 until 2023 and his neighbors meant so much to him, especially Joe Conner who was more like a brother than just a friend.
A private memorial will be held by his daughters with a scattering of his ashes per his request. The family has asked that fond memories be shared as “donations” and in lieu of sending flowers.
