I just saw this. I am in shock. Preacher Kelly as I called him was so happy all the time. Amazing guy and family man. My heart goes out to his family and especially his sweet wife Melissa. There will be no one else like him.

Pastor Kelly has been such a special person to me and my family. He was there with me when i lost my grandaddy in a car wreck and i was the first to go in to see him and Brother Kelly was by my side, comforting me and telling me to trust God when i was asking "WHY?" He did his funeral, along with both of my in laws... he baptized both my mother and father in law he helped with my moms funeral, He loved my children as he watched them grow into adults... He was the reason my husband wanted to go to church... he made me laugh, he was there when my heart was broken... i just want to tell him THANK YOU!!  Thank you for being the great man  you were. I hope you knew how loved you were!!!

Pastor was our pastor for more than 20 years, He always found a special in his heart for you,When  our  daughter  passed away in Ohio. He never once hesitated  to fly there  and console the family. He will always have a   special place in our lives, Someday we will be able to thank him in spirit in the prescence  of our Lord Jesus Christ,We pray for the Lord to console his family at this difficult time,   

Bro Tim you will always be the brother I never had . You and Mrs mellissa have always been a special place in my heart ! Lunch  golf and special events .  Watching you and your family through the years a real blessing ! You always there ! Thank all of you for the friendship .  Thoughts always . I will miss the phone calls !

Pastor Kelly was my pastor from the “little pink church” on Hartley Bridge Road, to the “big church”, and even after I moved to another town, he was still my Pastor. What a blessed gift to have been under the Holy Ghost, anointed preaching and teaching of Pastor Kelly. I can still clearly recall many of his services. And, wow, could he play the piano! Pastor Kelly taught us all a lot about the love and goodness of our Saviour Jesus, just by being with us. Truly a man of God that will definitely be missed. I love you and I am praying for you, Sister Melissa, Jarred, Rebekah, and all family and friends of Pastor Kelly. Thank you, Pastor Kelly! I am eternally grateful to our Father for the blessing you have been in my life! Philippians 1:3

You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers while you celebrate the life of a special person. We will miss running into him in our backyards.

Bro and Sis Kelly pastored the Yazoo City COG for much of my childhood.        Those years set the standard of what a true church home should be.    The love, friendships, and church extended family of so many.      Our lives were so intertwined being a part of the children group and growing into the youth group.      My heart is broken but we all know Tim is rejoicing while being in awe of our Lord.       Tammie, Sis Kelly, Melissa, and all his precious family, please lean on God to give you comfort and peace as only He can.   We love you.    

May God comfort the family of Tim. I will never forget that young man when His Father  pastored at  Notrth Shady Grove in MS  in the70ties.Iove you’lland praying for you’ll. Tim  was a special person.Some of the special ones are going  home.

Arlis and I started attending gateway in 1995.  We were looking for a home church.  It only took that one visit to know this was the one.  The spirit of God was so strong, we knew this is where we would be attending.    Pastor Kelly preached with the Holy Ghost and fire.  I later served on the ladies board got to know Melissa, a true servant of God.  I learned so much under his preaching and teachings.  They will remain with me forever.  He was a true friend to Arlis.  Arlis loved their golfing ventures and new not only was he his pastor but a true friend.  Thank you Melissa and Pastor Tim for being there at Grady when I had my aneurysm.  I don’t remember it and Arlis won’t forget it.  We love you all.  Love you sweet Jane, Jarred , Rebecca and family.  Our prayers are with you.

Tim, I will miss you so much! You've been a part of our family since I was a little girl. 
I was a flower girl in your wedding to my big sister. You opened your home for me to live with y'all in my 20's.  I was blessed to have you marry me in 2013. Alex absolutely loves his Uncle Tim even though we didn't get to visit as often as we would have liked to. He still talks about you. You always had a way to make me laugh and feel accepted. 
You have Always set an example of being an AMAZING husband, Father, Preacher, Friend! We look forward to the day when we will see you again on the other side.

Pastor Kelly meant everything to my family. No one taught us more and showed us more love than he did. From our baptisms , counseling, ski trip, flying to NY for my first husband’s funeral and preaching my husband’s funeral, dedicating my grand babies, marrying my daughters. He was everything and we will miss him terribly.  What an honor it was to sit under his leadership. Love you Pastor and Sister Melissa, Jarred and Rebecca ! 

You were my Pastor while I was young man in my 20’s! I will never forget all of the stories and laughs we shared together. The numerous golf matches where we were both trying to WIN against each other! The State Golf Tournaments you always invited me to play to represent Georgia! Most of all thank you for showing me what it was to be a Man of God and keeping the Faith! All of us our better people for having you in our lives! My heart is broken for your family but we are rejoicing knowing your are finally wearing your CROWN! I love you Brother Kelly and can’t wait to tee it up with you again in Heaven! #InTheGripOfHisGrace 


We have been neighbors for over twenty years.  We watched our children grow up and start their own families and have been blessed with the honor of becoming grandparents.  Pastor Tim was a great man of God who loved and served others.  He had a great sense of humor that made him even more special.  I am grateful to have known him.  He will be missed greatly.  May the Lord bring comfort to his wonderful family.  Praying always.  


I have many memories of Pastor Tim and Melissa.  Having known them as their family grew and the growth of the church, they are the best!!  Pastor preached as the old saying goes, "Like his coattails were on fire."  He was mighty used of God and so was Melissa.  When that little lady opened her mouth to sing, it was beautiful and you wondered where that gaint size voice was coming from.  I love both of them dearly. Love to you all!!
