Theodore R. Ducharme, Sr., 92, of Palmetto, FL passed away on Sun., June 29, 2014 at his home. A native of Chicago Heights (Cook County), IL, he was born Oct. 30, 1921 to Philip and Clara Ducharme, one of three children. Ted, as he was known to many, served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII before being honorably discharged. His working life held many facets, including a 36 year career as a supervisor with Florida Power. He was also a talented and gifted handyman and was of Nazarene faith. Mr. Ducharme is survived by his son, Theodore R. “Ron” Ducharme, Jr. (wife Brenda), Palmetto, FL; grandchildren T.C. Ducharme (wife Kristin), Ronnie Ducharme, Lori Padavano(husband Frank), Robin Kowalski (husband John) and great grandchildren Conley, Theodore “Chris”, Michael, Mark, Holly, Ryan, Jeremy, Damian, Morgan and Courtney, as well as son-in-law Allen Adams, Richmond, VA. Ted was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Ducharme; a daughter Diana Gail Adams, and siblings Lionel and Bertha. Funeral Service of Remembrance will take place at 2:00 P.M. on Thurs., July 3, 2014 at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home, Clearwater. Interment will follow at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park.
