She was born September 22, 1919, in New York, New York to the late Lenis and Ruth Whitaker. Ruby worked at Radio City Music Hall for several years before moving to Florida and marrying her husband. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. A diamond to forever shine in love eternal.
Ruby was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, William O’Neal; and her son, John “Jack” O’Neal. She is survived by her son, William “Bill” O’Neal (Debbie) of Dunedin, Florida; daughter, Barbara “Barb” Davis (Marion) of Fletcher, North Carolina; grandsons, Matthew Davis (Julie) and Ryan Cottrell (Courtney); and great-grandchildren, Matthew and Meredith Davis, and Torin and Colton Cottrell.
