Dear Pereira Family, I am absolutely so saddened and heartbroken to hear of Ron's passing. I had the honor & pleasure of caring for Ron & Brenda for almost 2 years. I live right behind their house so they became like family. I have many memories of Ron that I will hold close to my heart. I learned so much from him. We had many long heart to heart talks, he always made me laugh and was always so encouraging. Great memories of him coming over in his chair and having coffee at our house. I admired him greatly. I am blessed to have known him & Brenda. He was truly one of a kind ! May he rest in eternal peace with our Lord Jesus. Sending my love & hugs to all. My heart and prayers go out to Ron's family.  I worked with him here at Suncoast Hospice for many years.  I loved his sense of humor (such as his unique birthday cards) and so appreciated his support and guidance as Human Resources Director.  He was one of a kind and will be sorely missed.

I was very fortunate to have worked with Ron for many years at Hospice of the FL Suncoast.  He had such a kind soul, warm smile, and always made me feel as though everything would be ok.  Plus, he had a wonderful sense of humor.  What a treasure!

I cant begin to express the sadness I feel in my heart since I found out about Uncle Ron. He has such a special place in my memories. Uncle Ron always said his door was open for me to visit. During my visits he taught me many life lessons like the value of money ( he never let me spend more than 10 dollars on anything ) and the art of cutting a cantaloupe. My time spent with him is something I will always cherish. He never missed any event in my life and was always one of the first to call without fail. I looked up to him, admired him and I will miss him. The world has lost a great man but heaven has gained so very much more. I will pray for him always and will think of him fondly. YOu are all in our prayers.

I met Ron when I began my career at the then Hospice of the Florida Suncoast back in 1994. He was one of the reasons I took the leap of faith and left critical care nursing to become a hospice nurse and I'm still there. He made a big impression on me and will never be forgotten! RIP Ron.

Oh, I'm so sorry, everyone! I really respected and admired your dad/husband. He was such a loving, caring, funny man. I have so many cherished memories of being together at the house in Safety Harbor, at weddings and a crazy trip to Vegas (remember Charmaine?) I'm just heartbroken for you all. You have all of my love, and I'm sending up prayers. Please let me know if there's anything I can do.

Cousin Ron was our inspiration.  He was undaunted and unstoppable in the face of adversity.  He possessed an unshakeable faith that saw him come through the worst of times with indomitable strength and courage and the always ready smile.  His irreverent humour was a constant source laughter and could brighten up the most dreary of moments.  His smile, a ray of sunshine, would light up a room and lift up the saddest of spirits.  This is the Ronnie we knew and loved.  The Ronnie whose legend will live among us forever.  Our family is so very fortunate to have been granted the opportunity to have known Ronnie and to have loved him the way we did.  We are so honoured to call him Cousin.  No doubt, Ronnie is now in heaven sharing his gift of fun and laughter with the Angels.  
God, please grant our beloved Ron the peace that he has earned through the goodness of his deeds during his life.  May he be granted the promise of eternal life in the presence God our Father in Heaven.

My deepest sympathies at this very difficult time.  Uncle Ron has always and will continue to hold a very special place in my heart.  His zest for life and his sense of humour (though warped at times), his faith and his love for his family and friends are just a few of the very very many things I will miss.
