Robert James LOVE, age 70, of Palm Harbor, Florida passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 of an unexpected cardiac event. Robert was born on October 20, 1951, to the late great Robert Thomas Love and Lillian Irene (Ferguson) Love. They created 5 wonderful children led by the late Robert(Bobby), Lori Allison Love, John(Jack) Ferguson Love, the late Steven Howard Love, and Christine Jane(Love) Lozosky. Bobby was also survived by recent fiancé Kimberly Joy Allison, and was the best son, brother, Uncle, nephew, cousin and friend to many.
Bobby was born in Philadelphia, PA, grew up in Levittown, PA, having played multiple sports, he graduated from Neshaminy high school, where he held the State Championship record in Pole vaulting for 50yrs. He graduated high school in 1969, then moved to Chicago, IL with his family, where he graduated with a Marketing/Business BA degree, from the University of Illinois. Bobby spent 8yrs on Wildwood beach as a Senior lifeguard, and helped to create the Wildwood Beach Patrol Alumni association. He went on to lead a successful career including starting the first ever parasailing business in New Jersey. He then moved to Florida, where he ran a successful family owned Motel business on Clearwater beach. Professionally, he was a dedicated member of the Chambers of Commerce, worked in Insurance, multiple retail management & software positions, and finished his career at Nielson as head corporate trainer. Bobby's favorite pastimes included boating and golfing, and helped establish the Suncoast classic golf association. Bobby was fortunate to attend the Masters for the first time just last month with family, he was never more thrilled!
Bobby was larger than life and always commanded the room. He was truly one of a kind with his special gift of making others feel good. He brought a smile to your face, and always kept you laughing with his great one liners. He was a superb athlete, a great boat captain, but music was his true love, as he embraced and respected all kinds of music. He was a talented singer, loved karaoke, and incorporated music into everything he did. He always lit up the room and had a special way with words. One of his greatest mottos was, "We're not here for a long time, we're just here for a good time", this was how he lived his life. If you knew Bobby, you were lucky, if you were loved by Bobby, you were blessed. We will forever miss and love our special Dr. Love, but promise to keep your amazing spirit alive until we meet again.
