Robert Henry Frey, age 69, passed peacefully into Heaven on June 26, 2018, after an extended illness. He has always loved The Lord and spent so much time in church as a boy that his Parish Priest asked him if he felt called to the priesthood. He declined but continued to exemplify a high standard of character, integrity, and kindness throughout his life.
Robert was born in Union City, New Jersey, son of the beloved late Rosalie Karpinski Frey and the oldest of five children. In his heart, family was always first and foremost. He leaves behind his loving wife, two treasured sons, as well as many family members, all of whom he loved dearly. He was thrilled to become the grandfather of two beautiful boys, Hayden and Calum, and always wanted them to call him “Zia Zia”, a family tradition from his own youth. We all are saddened by the loss of this exceptional Husband, Father, Grandfather (Zia Zia), Brother, and Uncle, but he remains forever in our hearts.
In Florida… Donna Frey (wife); Stephen Frey (son), his wife Nichole, and their two sons Hayden and Calum; Benjamin Frey (son) and his wife Jimena; stepchildren, Michael Materazzi and his daughter Juliana (Texas), Jeffrey Solomon; Lianne Riley and her husband Kevin.

Throughout his life, Robert continually attended classes and seminars to increase his knowledge and expertise. Later in his career, he earned the highest Project Management designation, PMP (Project Management Professional) from the Project Management Institute.
Robert had a long and successful career which enabled him to travel widely. His favorite place was New York City, and he was an avid fan of the New York Giants. He began his career in computer information systems at Chase Manhattan Bank in New York City. He later moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado and then Santa Monica, California to work for System Development Corporation (SDC). In 1978 he worked as a Computer Operations Manager for SDC in Tallahassee, Florida, where he participated in the creation of the first Medicaid Management Information System for the State of Florida. Robert was honored to receive Federal Security Clearance to enter the U.S. government’s NORAD Cheyenne Mountain Complex where he implemented computer software programs and updates.
