Richard E. Kelly Sr.

He was born on November 7, 1935 in West Orange, New Jersey to the late Elizabeth and Timothy Kelly Sr.

Rich graduated from Our Lady of The Valley High School in West Orange, New Jersey.

Following high school he proudly in the United States Marine Corps, and was a member of the American Legion and VFW.

For over 50 years, Rich was the lead singer for the band Rich Kelly and Friendship.

Over the years they traveled the states, entertained many, and brought joy to all.

When he was not touring, Rich enjoyed playing golf and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his beloved wife Nancy A. Karpowicz-Kelly; sons, Richard E. (Karen) Kelly Jr., Christopher (Cathleen) Kelly.; sister, Dolores Nielsen; grandchildren, Joshua, Kira, Aiden, Flynn, Christian; Nieces, Beth, Beverly, Barbara (Gil), Laura aka, Lola (Giovanni), Nephew, Bobby (Billie); dear friends and bandmates, Tony Testa, Tommy Sullivan, Neil Ciccone, Charlie Anderson; and many extended family members and friends.

In addition to his parents, Rich was preceded in death by his brother, Timothy Kelly Jr., daughter, Lisa Mack, and son-in-law, Robert Mack.

A Celebration of Life for Rich will be held at a later date.
