Paul Raymond Howell Jr. died Friday, March 3rd, 2017, in the loving comfort of the Lord. Paul was born December 18th, 1924 in Captina, West Virginia. With the help of his mother he enlisted in the United States Marine corps on February 9, 1942, at the age of 17. He Served his country in the South Pacific during WWII. He was a stubborn, loving,caring and gentle man. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and servant of God. He had a quiet and dignified presence. He was a man of few words and great knowledge. Paul was loved by all. There was nothing broken that couldn't be fixed, from simple things around the house to Mechanical Maintenance Foreman at Ohio Edison, R.E. Burger Station retiring in 1987 after 43 years of service. He was a long time member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include son Terry L. and wife Pat of Curtice, Ohio, and grand children Bernadette (Christopher) Chiancone, parents of Rachel (Ryan), Jacob, Victoria, and Nicholas. Kristin (Wade) Davis, parents of Cody and Anthony Urquhart. Tiffany (Dave) Krock parents of, Mitchell and Ellie, and Jon ( Gina) Schenk, and great great grandson Rory. Survivors also include sisters, Ruth Trembly, Mary Howell, and Betty Tamburin. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Nellie D. Howell, of 62 years. Parents Paul Howell Sr. and Sarah A. Viewing will be held at the Sylvan Abbey United Methodist Church next door to the funeral home from 5 to 7 on Friday, March 10. With military service at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park at 11 am on Saturday, March 11. Memorial contributions can be made to the Hercules Church of Christ.
