She is deeply missed by her loving family: parents, Mike and Jeanne Michaels, sisters Cindy Michaels and Jennifer Michaels Welch, and nieces Katie Michaels and Marina Gesundheit.
Welcoming her into heaven are her grandparents, Bob and Bernice Michaels, and Nick and Kay Norell.
Mary Anne will be remembered, not for her challenges, but for her perseverance, strength, and especially for her joy.
Mary Anne delighted in the simplest of things. A few notes played on the piano, the tinkling sound of one of her music boxes, or a cool mist from a fountain all brought a huge smile to her face. She loved to laugh - at her bedtime game, at a silly sound, at her dog's kisses. Anyone seeing how pleased she was could not help but smile and laugh too.
Love, courage, determination and, of course, joy. Mary Anne embodied all of those. She enriched our lives beyond measure and inspired us to try to be better versions of ourselves.
A funeral mass for Mary Anne will be celebrated on Monday, July 30th at 2:00 p.m. at Espiritu Santo Catholic Church, 2405 Philippe Parkway, Safety Harbor.
In lieu of flowers, her family requests donations in Mary Anne's name to the Suncoast Hospice Foundation
