Marie Louise Hickson

Louise was born November 14, 1942 in Kansas City, MO, the daughter of Dr. and Mrs Edwin

Hartz of Tallahassee. She graduated from Florida State University in 1964 with degrees in Art

and Childhood Education. While teaching art at Merritt Island High School she met her future

husband, William Hickson. They married in 1967, moved to Millville, NJ where she taught fourth

grade until moving to Clearwater in 1971. While in Clearwater she taught Art and sold Real

Estate. Louise and Bill loved to travel. Over the years they travelled all over the World. She is

survived by husband Bill, sister Jean Hartz Beamer, niece Cheryl Lynn Padgett, nephew

Gregory Alan Beamer, seven grandnieces and grandnephews. Louise will be remembered as

loving, caring, thoughtful and vivacious. She always had a smile and will be greatly missed by

all who knew her.

A memorial service will be held on October 15 at 2 PM at the Sylvan Abbey United Methodist

Church 2817 Sunset Point Rd ,Clearwater 33759.

A second memorial service will be held on October 25 at 2:00 PM at

Trinity United Methodist Church 120 W. park Ave. Tallahassee, Fl. 32301. Prior to the service,

there will be a gathering with family in the church parlor, starting at 1:00 PM. Immediately following

the service, there will be the interment at Culley's Meadow Wood Cemetery, 700 Timberlane Rd.

Tallahassee, Fl. 32312. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the

Alzheimers Association in her honor.
