t is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lynnette Marie Welter, 59, of Largo, Florida, who left us on March 21, 2025. Born on July 22, 1965, in Madison, Wisconsin, to Doris and Kenneth Waterworth, Lynn’s journey through life was one marked by kindness, love, and a deep devotion to the people and things that brought her joy.
Lynn was a woman of many passions. She found comfort and solace in the pages of books, always with a new story to immerse herself in. A devoted fan of the Chicago Bears, she found camaraderie in cheering for her favorite team. But her greatest love was for her family—her loyal companion Thor, and the bonds she shared with her siblings and loved ones.
Lynn’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who survive her: her parents, Doris Waterworth of Metamora IL and Ken (Barbara) Waterworth of Albertville AL; her beloved siblings, Becky (Jeff) Ziegel, Lisa (Jack) Brecklin, Julie (Jim) Fandel, Mark (LeaAnn) Waterworth, and Mike (Tammy) Waterworth; her dear brother-in-law, Dan Ford; and her many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, John Welter, and her cherished sister, Teri Ford.
Lynn’s legacy is one of warmth, laughter, and unconditional love. In honor of her love for animals, her family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the ASPCA at www.aspca.org, a cause that was dear to her heart.
As we say goodbye to Lynn, we hold her memory close, forever grateful for the light she brought into our lives. She will be missed, but her love and humor will continue to surround us always.
A private celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
