KREBS, Lois Richey , 85 of Clearwater passed away peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her children after an extended illness on April 10th, 2013. Preceded in death by her beloved husband Don, Lois is survived by her daughters Kathleen Henken (Avi) of Denver, Barbara Bias (Jim) of Orlando, and her son Phil of Nashville. She had nine beautiful grandchildren; Matthew (Sarah) Henken, Alana Fryer (Peter), Emily Bias, Philip Bias, Elizabeth Krebs, Mary Lindsay Krebs, Jonathan Krebs, Philip Krebs and Sally Krebs, and her twin great-granddaughters Ellie and Mira Henken.
Lois grew up in Columbus, Ohio and was a proud graduate of The Ohio State University where she received a degree in business administration and met the love of her life, Don. While Lois and Don moved around the world during her husband’s career as an executive with the Ford Motor Company, Lois stayed actively involved in her many passions including, the American Association of University Women, volunteering in many political campaigns, and organizing investment clubs. In her 50s, Lois became a Certified Financial Planner and later she was elected the Treasurer of the Regency Oaks Residents Organization.
Even after the passing of her husband, Lois continued her passion of traveling the world, highlighted by her riding an elephant in India, going on safari in Kenya and taking a cruise in the Caribbean with her entire family.
Memorial Service to be held Saturday 13th @ 10 AM Town Hall at Regency Oaks, in Clearwater Florida.
