I first met Joyce when Angie and I became friends some 55 years ago. During all these years, Joyce and I stayed in touch through notes and holiday cards and phone calls. She adored Angie and her entire family and she delighted in giving me the latest news about you all. Though our communications were infrequent and we lived so many miles apart, I always thought of Joyce as a second mother.  When we recently spoke, I invited her to visit me and I promised to visit her when we next return to Florida. So it shocked and saddened me to learn of her passing. My heart aches for each of you as say farewell to Joyce. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Joycie-   I remember so fondly our Saturday night dates... dinner at the Mai Kai, the Maisonette Hotel listening to the John LaSalle Quartet, then dancing until 4:00AM at Porky's Hideaway and finishing off the night with breakfast at the Egg & You.  We were so young...

It has been wonderful to re-connect with you over the last few years and meet Angie again after last seeing her as a teenager.
