John R. Burns, 75, of Safety Harbor, passed away October 28, 2024.
He was born in Horse Pasture, Virginia on November 17, 1948. He moved to North Carolina as a young child. He graduated from the University of North Carolina in 1972 and received a degree in English History. John married the love of his life Gloria on December 21, 1974. For work, John was a mortgage banker for over 30 years until his retirement. He was also a member of the Lions club and the Elks Lodge. In his free time, John was an avid outdoorsman, he loved to hunt anything that moves and fish in any body of water, he also enjoyed woodworking as well.
John is survived by his loving wife of over 49 years, daughter Kristin Burns, grandson Clayton Burns, Brother Michael (Nancy) Burns>
A Celebration of Life service will be scheduled Sunday January 12, 2025 with details to be announced soon.
