John is survived by his companion of 47 years Edward Eylward; his sister Priscilla Kelley of Clearwater, nephew Sean Kelley, his wife Jan and daughter Tanya of Tampa; nephew Kevin Kelley, his wife Janice and children Matthew & Christine of MA; and nephew Greg Kelley, his wife Susan and children Brian & Kaitlyn.
John loved his many pets, history, art, decorating and was a avid traveler, especially cruising. He was a great story teller with a keen mind for details.
Family and friends are asked to gather at Sylvan Abbey, 2853 Sunset Point Road, Clearwater on Friday January 9th, from 6 - 8pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday January 10th at 10am at the Episcopal Church of the Good Samaritan, 2165 NE Coachman Road, Clearwater.
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers memorial donations be sent in John’s name to the Suncoast Hospice.
