John was born in Wilkes-Barre, PA on December 26, 1932. He was a graduate of St. Petersburg High School and attended St. Petersburg junior College. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in St. Petersburg.
John attended submarine school in St. Petersburg and Connecticut. He was in Connecticut when the keel was laid for the Nautilus. He was drafted into the Army and trained at Fort Monmouth, NJ and later transferred to Sacramento, CA at the Signal Corp.
After military service, John returned to St. Petersburg, he started working in the computer business, and ended up owning the company he started with.
On March 3, 1956, he married Gladys Nelson of Brush Valley, PA at Christ United Methodist Church in St. Petersburg.
John owned and operated many businesses over the years. He loved to sell, barter and trade anything and everything. John prided himself in hard work and honesty. John had three children, Victoria, John Jr. (deceased) and Daniel. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.
