We would like to thank each and every one of you who came to be with us, sent a note or text, or perhaps a card or call during this difficult time. We appreciate all your kindness and caring. We would especially like to Thank East Lake Manor Assisted Living for all your assistance, love and care for not only John,  but our whole family, and for making Assisted Living a REAL home that John was very proud of.  He was your family too !  Best Wishes to you all always---Mark, Jill, Eric & Anthony 

Pop, I will always miss you. You and Mrs D have looked after me like your other son. Mark and have been friends since 7th grade  and to this day.  I will always remember those days. God Bless You.

My cousin Johnny,  as we always called him,  was the sweetest, kindest, man I ever knew.  Always a happy smile,  and a good word, no matter what the circumstance.   Johnny always remembered my dad Uncle Matt, as the kindest man he ever knew.  Johnny  used to tell me stories of when he and his sister Tessie,  were kids,and would wait for uncle Matt to come visit,  he always brought then gifts.....Johnny was so appreciative of everything  no matter how small.    JOHNNY loved coming out to Lake Ronkonkoma to go swimming in the lake.  We had so much fun....splashing, and sitting in the sun.  
Johnny will be missed by many many people.   He was was a person you never forgot once you met him.  
Rest in peace Johnny,  you got alot of Dellarattas up there.  Maybe scrill is still making that magic coca cola up there.    


John,... always a smiling face, a kind and sincere word, time to hold a puppy, and a song to share.  He made an impression on so many and will be so missed. Rest in Peace John,... tight lines, always.

I had my own notion of grief
I thought it was a sad time
That followed the death of a loved one
And you had to push through it
To get to the other side.
But, I'm learning there is no other side.
There is no pushing through.
But rather,
There is absorbtion
Adjustment
Acceptance.
And grief is not something you complete.
But rather you endure.
Grief is not a task to finish,
And move on,
But an element of yourself-
An alteration of your being.
A new way of seeing,
A new definition of self

I have a lot of fond memories of Mr. John and Miss Irene. I'm sorry to see another loss and  will always hold the memories in my heart.  There is a lot of my family up there so they are probably having a blast.  Just know we are thinking of you and remember the good times. Holly and Ron



I will never forget my visit... I visited with Jill. Mr Della Ratta needed me to notorize a paper for him. He was soo appreciative for my service which was such a little service.  However his positive outlook on life and robust personality is one I won’t forget.  May he Rest In Peace... and much sympathy is extended to all the family. Blessings from Diane Morris.
