Jerry was born December 26, 1936 in Jacksonville, Florida to parents Eunice Lee Nolan and Clarence Vernon Crum.
He was an Engineering Technician for the Department of Transportation in Florida from June 18,1956 to March 1, 1991. While at the DOT he was awarded a district award for Sustained Superior Performance.
He also spent some time helping pave and brick the cities of Tampa, Clearwater, and St Petersburg.
Jerry was active in the Son's of Confederacy Veterans and enjoyed playing guitar in a band in which he sang with his wife.
Survivors include, wife, Crystal Mae Crum (nee Flick); daughter, Shannon Lynn Snider (nee Crum); grandson, Alan James Snider Jr.; and granddaughter, Ashlyn Mae Snider.
A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, March 28th at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm; followed by a Service officiated by Pastor Leonard Lord. Graveside will take place at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park at 1:00 pm. The family wishes to invite friends and relatives for a Repast after the Burial at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm.
