Beth Maxie, 73, of Palm Harbor, Florida died peacefully Tuesday, May 3, 2016. She was the daughter of James N. "Pat" Flanagan and Joan Keck. She graduated from the University of Houston and received her Masters Degree from Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green, Ohio as well as several advanced certifications. She married Bruce Gotts on October 7, 1995 in Findlay, Ohio and celebrated 20 years of wonderful marriage. Survivors are her husband, Bruce Gotts of Palm Harbor, Florida, son John Rosebrook and his wife Cindy and son Joshua of Abbeville, Louisiana and son Steven Rosebrook and his wife Maria and daughters Megan, Emily and Sarah of Franklin, Tennessee, Step daughter, Kelly Gautz and her husband Daniel Gautz of Clearwater, Florida Brothers, Rockey, Fred and Jim Forshey of Texas. Kelly's children Kathleen Rowe (and great-grandchildren Kearnan and Charley Rowe), McKenzie, Marcus and Kendall Schissler, of Southeastern Michigan, Stepson Paul Gotts, of Adrian, Michigan and grandson, Connor Gotts of Toledo, Ohio, and granddaughter, Kayleigh Gotts, of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, nieces, Stacy and Lesley, Garland, Texas. She was proceed in death by her sisters, Michelene Perry and Carol Forshey. She was Mental Health Counselor for 30 years in Findlay, Ohio and was very active in the Unitarian Universalist Church in Clearwater, Florida, the Tampa Bay Core of Reason, the Tampa Bay Humanist community, and of course her children and grandchildren and many friends. She also enjoyed world travel with her husband, Bruce. A Memorial Service is scheduled for June 4, 2016 at the Unitarian Universalist Church in Clearwater, Florida at 2:00.
