Helen S. Lents

Helen was born in Charleston, WV on September 22, 1935. She grew up in St. Louis, MO where she met her husband Dwaine. They moved to Seminole in 1959. Helen worked for Pinellas County Schools at Largo Central Elementary for 34 years. She was an avid bowler, traveling to many State and National tournaments, and coached junior bowlers for 15 years. She was an Avon representative for over 40 years. She was also a diehard baseball fan, especially for the St. Louis Cardinals and Tampa Bay Rays.

Helen and her husband Dwaine would have been married 66-years on September 1st. They have happily called Royal Palms home since November 2018.

Helen’s survivors include her husband Dwaine, three children; Renée Johnson (Kelley), Sapphire, NC, Michael (Tracy), Tampa and Michelle Snyder, Oldsmar. Five granddaughters; Jodi Miller (Chad), Stuart, Michaela Pedersen (Dan), Tampa, Katlyn Lents, Tampa, Brittany Snyder, Clearwater, Haley Warren (Jacob), Oldsmar, two great-grandchildren; Delaney and Rylan Miller, Stuart.

Celebration of Life will be 4-7 Friday, Sept. 23rd at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home, 2853 Sunset Point Rd. Clearwater, Florida 33759.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: John’s Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg, or Suncoast Hospice, Clearwater. Details of a memorial service will be announced at a later date.
